Svetomir Panayotov Yanarov is 31 years old, born in the town of Sevlievo, Bulgaria. He suffers from an affection of a kidney, detected in 1994 at an early stage. For 3 years his health condition has aggravated to such a degree, so that the doctors have deceded to include him in the system of hemodialisys treatment at the University hospital "Tsaritsa Ioana", Sofia. The procedures are conducted three times per week. Subsequently several other medical treatments are necessary to be done resulting of the hemodialisys itself.

The only way to assure normal life for Svetomir is a kidney transplantation, accomplished abroad. The price of such a medical operation varies between 35 - 80 thousand EUR. To afford such an amount of money is beyond the abilities of the Svetomir's family. He is required to come to live in Sofia to take the appropriate treatement. Meanwhile the government grants him a social pension with a value of 103,35BG leva (50EUR). In Bulgaria the laws covering the transplantation problems are inadequate and inefficient. That's why people like Svetomir need to find treatment abroad.

An operation has already been conducted on Svetomir in March 2006 in Pakistan but unfortunately unsuccessful. Now he is gathering funds for a new one which will be conducted in Europe.

Svetomir Panayotov is without parents. He lives alone, rent a flat. To do his living he is forced to work by the hour. Regardless of what he lived through during the first transplantation he is ready to fight for his life.
